These illuminated pieces feature a preserved dandelion suspended in clear resin, set upon a hand painted base and softly lit from below. When switched on, the delicate seed head becomes radiant, each fine filament gently illuminated like a tiny constellation. The shape of the base is in the style of a candlestick, with options for height of 80mm, 120mm and 150mm.
The dandelion, Taraxacum officinale, is often associated with wishes carried on the wind. Here, instead of drifting away, it shines. By day it is a sculptural piece, by night it becomes atmospheric.
